More than 160 college and university presidents have signed an open letter calling for stricter gun laws including Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem. Among other things, the letter released Wednesday calls for reinstating a ban on semi-automatic assault weapons, requiring consumer safety standards for all guns, and opposing legislation that would allow guns on college campuses.
