Chiming In On I-95 Changes

North Carolina residents have just a few more hours to say what they think about proposed improvements to Interstate 95.

In legislation that went into effect last July, lawmakers directed the state Department of Transportation to conduct an economic assessment of potential funding options to improve I-95. As part of this assessment, the department is conducting a survey for residents of North Carolina.

Responses will be accepted through Friday.

The assessment will examine the economic impacts of upgrading and expanding I-95. It also examines the economic impacts of not making any significant improvements to I-95 other than what can be done with existing funding.
