N-B-C News has learned that Ohio prosecutors are close to a plea deal with the man charged with kidnapping three women and keeping them in his home for nearly a decade.
That deal, which Ariel Castro is currently expected to accept, is life without parole, plus one-thousand years.
Castro is charged with kidnapping three women and raping them in his Cleveland home for nearly a decade.
Sources involved in the investigation tell NBC News that the deal would allow Castro to avoid the death penalty and spare his three victims the trauma of a long trial.
The terms of the deal are likely to become public at a court hearing scheduled for Friday morning.
