Two men are accused of taking indecent liberties with a child in two separate cases under investigation by the Carteret County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies arrested 64-year-old William Frankle of Russell Creek Rd. in Beaufort on charges of a sex crime against a girl. Authorities say the victim is a person he knows. Frankle is charged with one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child and placed in the Carteret County Jail under a $10,000 bond. He was scheduled for a first appearance Tuesday. Online jail records indicated on Wednesday that Frankle was no longer behind bars.
In a separate case, deputies arrested 58-year-old Lamar Richardson of Eva Lane in Atlantic. Richardson is facing one count of Indecent Liberties with a Child. Authorities say the victim was a girl he knew. Richardson's bond was set at $7,500 and was scheduled for a first appearance Wednesday.
