Man Seriously Burned In Beaufort County Camper Fire

A man was seriously burned after his camper caught fire late Wednesday night in Beaufort County.

The call came in just before 11:00 p.m. for a fire on Clinton Avenue just past Asbury Church Road on Highway 264 east.

Randy Manning is in serious condition at the Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill.

Emergency Management Director John Pack says the man had third degree burns on 18 to 20% of his body. He was first taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville before being transferred to the burn center.

Friends say Manning live in the camper.
