Camp Lejeune Wife Reacts To US Troops Afghanistan Death Toll Reaching 2,000

A Taliban suicide bomber killed 3 Americans Monday in Afghanistan. This after casualties this weekend pushed the U.S. military death toll to 2,000.

For 11 years now, marine wives and husbands have seen their loved ones leave for Afghanistan. For many at Camp Lejeune, marines have fought in the war on several different tours of duty. Nicole Pider's husband came home from his latest tour in Afghanistan just over a month ago.

"You kind of feel numb after a while. How are you supposed to react after a while? I feel for the service members families because I can only imagine what I would feel like if I were in that position," said Pider.

Pider has 2 children. Her husband is a staff sergeant and has been deployed 4 times since this war started. He joined the marine corps on September 15th 2001.
