Brown Unseats McLawhorn, A 7-Term Incumbent

Republican Newcomer Brian Brown has unseated longtime State House member, Democrat Marian McLawhorn in District 9.

McLawhorn was seeking her 8th term.

Greenville businessman Brian Brown defeated here 52% to 48%

Unofficial vote totals show Brown with 19,408 votes and McLawhorn with 18,265 votes.
