Update: Power Restored For Most Residents In Martin County

Update: The majority of the customers who were experiencing loss of power Thursday morning now have their electricity restored.

The Dominion Power outage map shows most of the nearly nine hundred customers who lost power overnight are back online. Sheriff Department officials say that appears to be the case as the number of 911 calls that were coming into their office regarding the outages has stopped.

Many waking up without power Thursday morning in Martin County.

The winter storm impacting nearly 900 residents in the Martin County town of Everetts who are starting their day in the dark. According the Dominion Power website there are a total of 849 homes without power.

Martin County Sheriff officials say the outages started in the overnight Thursday and Dominion Power Company crews are on their way to the area to determine the cause and make repairs.
