The Labor Day "Booze It and Lose It" campaign started Friday. Law enforcement officers across North Carolina are out in full force citing drivers who drive drunk.
In 2012 there were nearly 11,000 alcohol related crashes in North Carolina.
The governor's highway safety program and the Department of Transportation have also produced a new public service announcement that will be airing during the campaign.
This "Booze It and Lose It" campaign runs through Labor Day.
