Leaders of a huge fishing tournament are throwing a financial line to a community college.
The Big Rock Blue Marlin board of directors donated $100,000 to Carteret Community College for the school's 50th anniversary.
The board budgets each tournament year for a core group of charities.
The $100,000 will be divided between the marine training and education center, and the new Carteret Community College scholarship known as the "Big Rock Student of the Year".
