Bertie County Sheriff John Holley told WITN the 18-year-old that was reportedly last seen Friday has been found dead.
Trooper Copeland with the Highway Patrol said Sunday evening around 5 p.m., a family friend stumbled upon Dylan Cullipher's car, which was submerged in a pond along Highway 17 about 4.5 miles east of Windsor.
Copeland said the crash happened Friday night, and that the teen lost control of the car, overcorrected and ran off the road to the right. Copeland said Cullipher's car flipped several times before becoming submerged in the pond.
An autopsy is being done to determine the cause of death. Officials said alcohol or drugs are not suspected.
