Bertie County Attempted Murder Arrest

A man suspected or a New Year's Eve shooting is now under arrest.

Salim Gould, 32, is behind bars in the Bertie-Martin Regional Jail this morning, facing an attempted first-degree murder charge.

The Bertie County Sheriff's Office says Gould shot a man on New Year's Eve on Governor's Road near Lewiston Woodville; that's according to the Roanoke Chowan News Herald.

Gould is due in court again next week.
