Beaufort County Traffic Stop Turns Into Drug Bust

A Beaufort County traffic stop turned into a drug bust Friday after a deputy found marijuana in a man's vehicle near Highway 33.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office says, 25-year-old Lawrence Tetterton was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana after he was stopped for speeding.

A deputy patrolling the Edward community says he saw suspicious activity in a convenience store parking lot on Highway 33, followed Tetterton's vehicle and pulled him over.

The deputy says he found 20 baggies of marijuana and four hydrocodone pills. He was held on a $6,000 bond but has been released.
