A local pharmacy that has been around for 95 years will close its doors this weekend.
Bell's Pharmacy opened in downtown Beaufort in 1919. The current owners bought the business in 1969 and now the two are ready to retire.
"It's been quite a ride," says Lynwood Daughtry. "We've enjoyed it, but we feel like it's time for us to retire now. We have sold the business to a local community pharmacy here in town. They operate like we do, so we think it will be a nice trade for our customers too."
Some customers told WITN they're sad to see it go.
Bell's customers will find their prescription information at the Medical Park Pharmacy on Live Oak Street. No word yet on what will take the place of the Bell's Pharmacy building.
