Beaufort County Arts Council Aims For Riverboat Maritime Museum

The Beaufort County Arts Council is looking for help funding an exhibition of the historic port of Washington.

The exhibition is planned for October 23rd through November 14th, and will illustrate the history of what was one of the largest ports in North Carolina.

All donations made to the arts council are tax exempt and donations of the highest level will get a signed, numbered, limited edition print of the centerpiece mural being created by Douglas Alvord.

The arts council hopes to design and build a riverboat to serve as a permanent maritime museum in Washington.
