BSH Production Line Upgrade Will Impact 100 Workers

One of New Bern's largest employers will be making some changes that will temporarily impact some of its workers.

BSH Home Appliances says it will soon begin production line upgrades at it's Neuse Boulevard factory to prepare for a new line of Bosch dishwashers.

The company says it will shut down one of its two dishwasher production lines, impacting approximately 100 workers. The shutdown will start next Wednesday and be complete in early April, according to the company.

BSH says the expansion project is part of a $50 million investment the company will make toward the next generation of dishwashers.

The plan currently employees 700 people in New Bern.
