Authorities are investigating two Wednesday night shootings, one in the city of Greenville and another in Pitt County.
Sgt. Joe Friday with the Greenville Police Department says William Harris was shot several times in the legs in the 200 block of East 12th Street around 11:30 p.m.
Friday says his injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
Sgt. Friday says Williams had been in an altercation with people he had a previous disagreement with at the Sheetz on 10th St. and Cotanche St.
The victim left the Sheetz to get away from the other people, but they followed him to the location where the shooting occurred.
Several .22 caliber shell casings were recovered from the street.
Twelve minutes later, at 11:38 p.m., dispatchers received a call about a possible shooting on Tupelo Lane in the Belvoir area of Pitt County.
Sheriff's spokesperson Christy Wallace says a man was shot in the leg on Tupelo Lane.
At this time it's unknown if there are any other injuries or if there are any suspects in custody.
We'll continue to update this story as more details become available.
