Ayden Wreck Causes Traffic Jam, Sends 3 To Hospital

A wreck caused a traffic jam in Ayden Thursday in the same spot where there was a wreck the day before.

Ayden Police say about 5:15 p.m. Thursday, a car clipped the back tire of a bicycle on Highway 11 at Jolly Road, and the car ended up in a ditch. The driver and child in the car are expected to be OK. The man on the bike is injured. All 3 were taken to the hospital to be checked out.

The wreck shut down a northbound lane on Highway 11 and was expected to reopen by about 6:30 p.m.

About 2:25 p.m. Wednesday a crash closed the southbound lanes of Highway 11 at Jolly Road for about an hour.
