Operation Buckle Up A Success

State troopers say this year's Operation Buckle Up was a success.

The two week enforcement blitz ended yesterday with troopers writing 8502 seatbelt tickets and 679 violations for child restraints.

Troopers say compared to last year, seatbelt enforcement was up 42%, while child restraint saw a 26% increase.

Currently the seatbelt compliance rate in North Carolina is 88.6 percent. Troopers say their goal is to raise the voluntary compliance rate to over 90%.

THERE ARE 2 FACTS THAT YOU CAN TAKE TO THE BANK 1. THE GOVERNMENT OF NC DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY. THIS LAW WAS PASSED ONLY TO GIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT(ESPECIALLY THE NCHP) PROBABLE CAUSE TO STOP YOUR VEHICLE. 2. THE NC HP SHOULD CLEAN UP ITS OWN ACT BEFORE THEY PURSUE ANY OTHER OPERATIONS. THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE AND ENFORCE LAWS SEEM TO THINK THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE TO ABIDE BY THEM. THE NCHP FOR THE MOST PART ARE THE MOST ARROGANT STATE EMPLOYEES IN NC PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT AND I WILL ELABORATE.
