State Looking for Reimbursements for Overpayments

The state mistakenly paid at least a million dollars in doctor bills for state workers, and now you may have to pay for it. Now, more than 1700 workers may have to repay the money. The teachers' and state employees' comprehensive major medical plan paid bills for some members who were not entitled to the benefits, going back as far as October 2002. State officials will meet with the Attorney General's office to figure out their legal responsibility.

A new computer auditing program uncovered the payments.
