She's big, she's green, and she’s a real fighting machine. A Jacksonville landmark has a new home.

Meet "Fran the Amtrack." It's an amphibious tractor and is one of the last in the world like the ones Marines used to storm the beaches in the Pacific in World War Two.

For more than a decade, the old Amtrack has been a local landmark outside a Jacksonville restaurant on the New River. But volunteers and local military vehicle buff, Dave MacGillivray, are getting her back into running shape for the Marine Corps Museum of the Carolinas.
