Kinston Search Leads To Guns And Drugs

Kinston Police say they confiscated more than 100 marijuana plants and three high powered rifles in a home in Kinston.

Police were initially called to 109 West Daniels Street Wednesday to look into a breaking and entering. They say when they arrived they found signs of illegal activity at the residence.

Officers executed a search warrant and discovered the residence was being used to grow marijuana. Two rooms held approximately 100 - 120 pot plants, fertilizer, potting soil, more than 450 planting pots, lamps, three high powered rifles, air filters, numerous books on indoor gardening and how to grow marijuana indoors and a large quantity of marijuana.

Police also say there were signs that the residents may have been illegally reproducing movies and audio CDs.

Police arrested 39 year-old Schaun Terrance Lawrence and 26 year-old Fione
Singh.
