A man who pleaded guilty in the deaths of two people while driving drunk was sentenced in a Martin County court Tuesday.
While Tyron Price Daly of Ahoskie received a lengthy prison sentence, the victims’ families say justice can never really be served.
Christine McGinty and Daniel Wiggins were engaged to be married when they were killed by Price in a November 2005 accident.
Daly pleaded guilty to second degree murder in their deaths and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Daniel's parents say justice can never be served because you can't change what happened.
Lisa Sorrells is all too familiar with the pain the McGinty's and the Wiggins feel. Her fiancé was killed by Daly 17 years ago in a drunk driving accident. Daly served a year-and-a-half behind bars in that case.
