Church Dedication and More for Washington

After nearly 12 years of planning, a million dollar project has finally come to fruition for the Temple of Jesus Christ Church in the Beaufort County city of Washington.

Washington city officials, church members, and hundreds of community members were gathered Saturday morning for the official dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the first and only black owned "family life" recreation and learning center. The facility located off Hackney Avenue in Washington will hold after school programs for kids and life learning classes for adults, a weight lifting gym, a game center, and a meeting space for all of the church organizations, and nonprofit organizations to share.

The Temple of Jesus Christ is already taking event registrations and you can contact the church for a complete event listing.
