EMS to Be Aided by Computers

If you need an ambulance in Onslow County, the paramedics will soon be bringing another high-tech piece of lifesaving gear along with them.

Tablet personal computers will let them get vital information, and then send it by a wireless link to the hospital, before they bring patients in for care. The new system will also help streamline the required paperwork, and get ambulances back on the road after an emergency call.

A grant paid the $40,000 for those new computers.
