Some of us knows the truth, the dogs taken from Free Union were deadly! Why else would they use extremely heavy(logger trailer style) chains to hold their dogs? A pet is one thing, but to have a yard full of these dogs means quit another (10 ). You may love your dog(s), but that does not automatically mean that others treat theirs the same. If you want the truth, ask the vet offices that had to treat the poor things. You don't always KNOW people fully or the people they may associate with. $2000 fine the Windly boy got was low and more of his family should have been charged as well!

To: To Beaufort County I think that it is very low of you to bring up a situation such as the student and teacher. Evidently, you don't know the full story and aren't a very informed citizen because he didn't attack her. As for this situation, dog fighting is WRONG. You wouldn't want to feel like you had to fight to survive so why should animals? It is not right and they deserved to get in trouble.

REMEMBER ONE THING, a person is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law. These negative comments have no purpose but selfishness and to damage and hurt other people. Most sound like they are jealous of the Spain family and make these childish comments to hurt these people.I do not personally know any of the accused, but I do know the attorney referenced. He puts forth the same effort to defend Joe Blow off the street and would certainly not hold the tremendous respect he has earned by his own hard work, if he did not. The same people making these comments will seek his represenation when their family member is in trouble. What positive effect are you hoping to accomplish with these outlandish comments. You must be perfect and your family qualifies to live in a glass house. Try to be a better person and keep your unwanted comments to yourself.

I think everyone in this close nit community should be held accountable to some degree. How far can you hear dogs fighting? Every one of these people that lives in this neighborhood knew this was going on and not one of you done a single thing. I think its a very serious crime. So to the parents of any of those small children that may have or may not have been in those videos, WAY TO GO!

To Crystal; apparently these comments do mean something to you because you keep responding to them. And you are so quick to jump on everyone for what they are saying when you and your friends were the ones arrested and not only were you on TV your face was in the newspaper as well. You reap what you sow and you are right it is noones fault that the young man died See God dont make no mistakes he takes whom ever he wants and maybe just maybe he decided to take him to get him out of this mess. Never Question what MY GOD can do. If you and your friends are guilty and get away with it down here, you will surely get yours on JUDGEMENT DAY...Stop adding fuel to the fire. Like I said if these comments didnt bother you , you would not be responding to them. You are INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY..BUT YOU ARE POSTING COMMENTS THAT ARE MAKING YOU SEEM GUILTY!!NOW thats my opinion and I do have one whether you AND your friends like it or not!!! .

to anonymous it is a felony in nc to even watch a dog fight which doesnt make sense to me. most states it is a misdeanor. i dont think it is right either, i have to agree with you.

just because someone is WATCHING a dog fight, how on earth does that mean they have something to do with it so they should get charged with it? the only people that should be charged are the owners of the dogs, IF they are actually TRAINING the dogs to fight. and from my experience with ALL pitbulls, AND dallas's dogs, they are really sweet dogs, even to the their little young daughter. it is sickening that this is giving them, as well as the breed of dog a terrible name that they do not deserve.
