Second Suspect In Bank Robbery, ATM Thefts Caught

Deputies say they've made a break in a Jones County bank robbery, and string of ATM thefts in Carteret, Craven & Onslow Counties.

Jones County deputies say 43-year-old Timothy Parmer was arrested early Saturday morning in Onslow County. They say Parmer went into the First Citizens Bank in Maysville on August 3rd and held it up.

Deputies Friday morning also charged Donald Lewis in connection with the bank holdup as well.

The break came after Carteret County deputies arrested Lewis for numerous ATM break-ins at various businesses over the past several months. Deputies say Parmer is also a suspect in those thefts.

Authorities say Friday’s break was made possible through cooperation of several law enforcement agencies, including the New Bern Police Department, Craven County Sheriff's Office, Carteret County Sheriff's Office, Cape Carteret Police Department, Lenoir County Sheriff's Office, Onslow County Sheriff's Office, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Maysville Police Department, Pollocksville Police Department and the Jones County Sheriff's Office.

How refreshing, just look at what can be accomplished when we pull together and work together instead of going separate ways. I'm refering to catching the Bank Robbers and the different Police Departments working together. About Time.
