Abandoned Pet Makes New Home In Greenville
The images of stranded people in Louisiana and Texas are not the only memory we have of the devastation after Hurricane Katrina. There are also images of abandoned pets.
One of those dogs ended up in Greenville. Murray was less than two-months old when he was brought to North Carolina from Texas. The shy hound-Lab Rottweiler mix didn't trust people or want to be touched. Now his new owners, Dan and Elizabeth Kauffman, say after two years of training and lots of love, he's turned out to be their best friend.
Kauffman says Murray was diagnosed with post traumatic stress syndrome, which is common in humans after tragic events.
