A Maryland man is in the Pitt County jail, accused of bilking thousands of dollars from a local bank.

Police arrested 20 year old Jason Pickett last week. They say on Wednesday the Sykesville, Maryland man withdrew $36,000 in cash from the BB&T branch on Greenville Boulevard and then went back the next day and tried to get another $23,967.

Bank employees detained Pickett on his second visit until police could arrive.

Detectives say Pickett is also accused of getting more than $92,000 from a Wachovia Bank in Maryland and then attempting to launder the proceeds through a Certificate of Deposit and withdrawals.

Pickett is being held without bond.

Turns out this guy was just arrested in Fairfax, VA. He was writing fraudulent checks and violating parole. How did this guy get parole in the first place?
