Construction Moves Ahead on New City Hall

Wet weather has slowed down some construction projects, but not Jacksonville's new city hall.

New bricks are forming the first new walls of the expanded city hall project. Recent storms have made it muddy next to the current city hall, but workers are still pushing hard to make the first deadline they have, which is to get some city functions moved into a former bank next door so they can start gutting the old building.

The former city hall will then be revamped, and everyone should be in new quarters when the whole project wraps up early next summer.
