One man is dead, another seriously hurt after their pick-up trucks collided near Jacksonville early Monday morning. This was how it looked at Highway 17 and Onslow Pines Road, South of New River Air Station. The State Highway Patrol says one of these trucks was trying to cross the divided 4-lane road, when it collided with the second truck. The driver of this white GMC died at the scene, and the other driver was taken to an area hospital. Neither has been identified, pending family notifications. It's an accident that has troopers urging drivers to use extra caution on their way to and from work, school or even on short trips. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
