Tropical Storm Charley caused some stong wind gusts for one beach front community in Beaufort County. Homes along Whichard's Beach were pelted with heavy rains and wind gusts up to 70 miles per hour, when Charley ripped through the area. Wind gusts caused choppy, dangerous waters along the Pamlico Sound. However, there didn't appear to be alot of debris or storm damage.
