Three people are dead in Pender County, believed to be victims of a tornado spawned by the remnants of Tropical Storm Bonnie just before sunrise Friday. One of the victims was a child.

Their names have not been released.

In Onslow County, it's also believed a tornado touched down Friday morning. The roof of a brick duplex was ripped off, where ten people were holed up to ride out the storm in a bathroom. No one was seriously injured.

In Carteret County, a water spout was reported on the White Oak River. A nearby campground had overturned campers and trailers, with several injuries reported.
