A Martin County man has been arrested and charged in a home invasion.
Lawmen say they caught 20-year-old Phillip Ray Owens of Hobgood shortly after they arrived on the scene of the crime on Dellie Lane in Robersonville at 2:24 a.m. Wednesday.
Owens is accused of attacking the victim, as well as firing shots into the victim's car. Another person in the home ran to a neighbor and called 9-1-1 while the attack was in progress.
Owens is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill inflicting serious injury, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, injury to real property and injury to personal property.
