Three Dead In Burke County Shooting Spree

Authorities say three people are dead and two injured in a shooting spree last night in Burke County.

One of the dead is the attacker.

The sheriff's offices says witnesses identified the shooter as 61-year-old Charlie Clinard Jackson.

A witness told investigators that Jackson was killed by a resident after fatally shooting the resident's brother.

Sheriff's officials say the violence began around 11 p.m. when a suspect shot and killed a man in a camper. Then the man went to another residence and another man was killed.

The sheriff's office identified the victims as 46-year-old Frank James Clark and 47-year-old Edward Leroy Clark.

Both were from Connelly Springs in the county.
