Woman Sentenced After Kids Die In Hot Car

A woman whose three young daughters died after being trapped in a hot car has been placed on supervised probation for 36 months.

Ann Latrice Miller pleaded guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Rutherford County District Attorney Brad Greenway says he's satisfied with the outcome, saying he doesn't know what benefit would have come from sending her to prison.

Miller also was ordered to perform 144 hours of community service and to continue psychological treatment.

Authorities have said that Asia and Bry'asia Sheppard, 2-year-old twins, and 4-year-old An'niya Miller climbed into their mother's four-door Honda parked outside the family's townhouse near Forest City last November.

I can't get the full picture. How does a 2 or a 4 year old climb into a closed vehicle. They sure aren't tall enough and strong enough to open it theirselves.
