A Beaufort County man is in jail after police say he stabbed a man late Tuesday night during a robbery.
It happened outside Pamlico Orthopedic Associates on Highland Drive in Washington.
Police say a man cleaning the business was leaving for the night when he was approached by a man armed with a knife. The robber demanded money and the two men fought with the victim being stabbed three times in the left side.
Police say the robber made off with the victim's truck, but was caught a short time later with the help of sheriff deputies.
Sidney Little is facing numerous felony charges including robbery with a dangerous weapon and attempted murder. He's in jail on a $100,000 bond.
The 40 year old Little was also wanted by North Carolina Dept. of Corrections for a probation violation and police say he has an extensive criminal record.
The victim underwent surgery at Pitt County Memorial Hospital where police say he's in stable condition.
