Edenton Pastor Turns 100 Years Old
One church in Edenton is celebrating a special milestone Friday, its pastor is turning 100 years old and he still preaches every Sunday.

One church in Edenton is celebrating a special milestone Friday, its pastor is turning 100 years old and he still preaches every Sunday.
Ethan Alexander is now officially a century old. He's spent his entire life living in Chowan County and being a part of The First Christian Church in Edenton. Alexander told WITN News he loves the community, loves his church, and the people that belong to it. That's why he makes sure to have his sermon ready every Sunday.
"I type my scriptures that I want to talk off, I type them, read the scriptures, and the good Lord gives me the rest of it."
Alexander's birthday is Friday but the church will be having a party for him on Sunday. Members say it's going to be like a family reunion, people will be coming from far and wide to celebrate.

Fyi, many people still go to church here in 2010. Apparently you don't see the need to go, but understand that this country was founded on the principles and faith of God & his word in the bible. Look at the state of our nation & see why worship in God & Christ now more than ever is needed badly. Call us Bible thumpers if you like, but all people will have to stand before God someday, & I would rather worship him now than be forced to kneel before him in shame & judgement!!
