Camp Lejeune Marine Dies In Afghanistan
A Camp Lejeune Marine has died as a result of a hostile incident while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

A Camp Lejeune Marine has died as a result of a hostile incident while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
The Pentagon says 22 year-old Lance Cpl. Jonathan Taylor of Jacksonville, Florida died December first.
Taylor was a rifleman assigned to Company F, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 7, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Brigade. Taylor joined the Marine Corps in May 2007, and was promoted to the rank of lance corporal on Feb. 1, 2008.
Taylor deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from April to November 2008, and deployed to Afghanistan in October.
Taylor's awards include the National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, as well as a Certificate of Commendation.
