Lull In Rain From Barry's Remnants, But Eastern Carolina Should Expect More Rain

The remnants of Tropical Storm Barry are moving Eastern Carolina Sunday.

A flood watch is effect for much of the area, while a wind advisory is in effect for coastal regions. The first wave of Barry's remnants spawned two tornado warnings in Pamlico and Craven counties, but no damage was reported.

Barry did not cause any problems as it came up Florida from the Gulf of Mexico. In fact, the storm brought much needed rain to the sunshine state and was even helpful in getting wildfires under control.

Barry was the second named storm of the year. It became a tropical storm on Friday, the first day of hurricane season.
