Parishioners of a church that burned Friday in New Bern say they plan to rebuild.
The fire started in a welding shop on Queen street when a torch got to close to a gas powered motor, according to the fire marshal.
The fire quickly spread to Blessed Hope Church. William Smith and fellow Church members say their faith will help them rise from the ashes.
Meantime, fire officials say the building was a powder keg waiting to explode with high pressure tanks, LP tanks, some gasoline tanks and all kinds of other flammable liquids inside.
