An animal rights group says turkeys were mistreated at a large processing plant in Hoke County.
Mercy for Animals says an undercover investigation shows practices at the House of Raeford Farms slaughterhouse exceeded what's allowed by food processing regulations. The allegations include ripping the heads off life birds and pulling eggs out of them to toss around.
