Packing Foam Washes Ashore Along N.C. Coast


Packing foam from shipping cargo
washed overboard by subtropical storm Andrea is washing ashore along the North Carolina coast.
The National Park Service says a ship lost nine containers of
cargo.
The plastic foam packing inserts are washing ashore from Cape
Lookout to Ocracoke Inlet.
A spokesman says the debris field could be hundreds of miles
long.
The park service is meeting with the Coast Guard to come
up with a plan for dealing with the spill.
