The Atlantic Beach Police Department has a new jet boat dock. It's a system of air cylinders and plastic tubes that can get an eleven thousand pound vessel in and out of the water in less than two minutes. It doesn't matter what the tide level is. Jay Smith, a marine patrol officer says, they will use the boat and system several times a day, to patrol the nearby waters, but should an emergency situation arise they'll be there faster than before. The dock itself costs twenty one thousand dollars, and sits in a boat slip in Atlantic Beach, donated by a resident.
