It was a big night Thursday on the Crystal Coast as everyone waited anxiously to see this year's official poster for the 21st Annual North Carolina Seafood Festival.
More than 100 people gathered at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores to congratulate artist Walter Creech.
Creech is from a small town near Chapel Hill. He calls the painting "Waterman's Daughter." It was all inspired by a random trip through Swan Quarter where he stopped at a seafood market and met a 4-year-old holding a blue claw crab. Creech says he owes a big thank you to that little girl.
