Krispy Kreme Doughnuts says its
fourth-quarter profit decreased more than 35 percent, but that was
an improvement over last year.

company said its net loss was 24.4 million dollars.
That amounts to 39 cents per share.
For the same period last year, however, the company's profit was
61 cents a share.
During its high-flying days, Krispy Kreme shares sold for more
than 50 dollars a share. They closed most recently at eleven
