A Currituck County golf course is on the auction block as a result of a February bankruptcy hearing.
The 18-hole Mill Run Golf and Country Club goes up for sale tomorrow at noon.
Owner Bill Jernigan closed the course in October and petitioned Currituck County to rezone five acres to allow for condominiums.
Residents there protested the closure and the condominiums, and Jernigan withdrew his rezoning request.
In a February hearing of the U-S Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, a judge decreed the course be reopened in March and put up for auction. The property was for sale late last year for two-point-six million dollars.
