As for how all this cold weather is affecting their bottom line, landscape designers we talked to said overall, things really are not that bad. Nursery owner Doug Roberson says he was worried about what the cold might do to all his plants, in the end his fears were worse than the reality. Bill Laughinghouse owns seven sod farms and tells us even though the grass looks brown now, it's not dead, just dormant. He says as soon as the sun comes out, the grass will perk back up and turn green.
