East Rutherford, NJ - Top seeded North Carolina fell behind by as many as 11 points in the first half of their East Regional semi-final game against USC Friday night before outscoring the Trojans 41-22 in the second half to win 74-64.
USC used a 15-0 run to pull out to a 16 point lead in early in the second half. That's when the Heels got rolling behind the play of Brandon Wright. The freshman sensation hit for 21 points and 9 rebounds. USC ran out of gas in that second half and could only watch as the deeper, fresher Heels ran up and down the floor.
UNC moves on to face Georgetown in the East Regional Finals Sunday at 5:05pm on CBS with a trip to the Final Four at stake.
