The biggest, fastest and deadliest Air Force fighter paid a visit this week to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base at Goldsboro.
The F-22A Raptor arrived Thursday night at the base where Colonel Matthew Molloy says it will outfly any fighter in the world.
The 137 million dollar single-seat jet carries eight missiles and flies Mach 2.
Molloy says the jet can track the enemy before it is detected and can cruise quietly at top speed without afterburners.
The jet is likely to be based in Florida, Virginia, New Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska.
